Munich crowds discover how advanced print inspection technology, 100% inspection, and advanced workflow deliver accuracy & consistency

AVT made a strong debut as a standalone business at the ICE Europe exhibition in Germany. The company showcased how its 100% advanced print inspection technology and workflow solutions deliver accuracy and consistency for packaging and label converters.

Showcasing Innovation at ICE Europe

“With the AVT Turbo HD 100% inspection platform as the beating heart of our demonstrations, we were excited to highlight the speed, consistency and accuracy that can be achieved with automated print inspection at the ICE event,” said Guy Yogev, VP Marketing & Product at AVT.

“We ran many demonstrations to showcase how our robust and reliable system delivers automatic 100% quality assurance. The system visually inspects a range of printed materials and detects imperfections in real time. We also demonstrated how it seamlessly inspects different materials and applications, including challenging substrates and transparent coatings.

“The response in Munich was fantastic,” he added. “It was great to make our debut as an independent company in the presence of so many customers and colleagues, and the level of interest in our demonstrations ensured a very successful show for us.”

Advanced Print Inspection Technology in Action

AVT participated in ICE Europe, the leading exhibition for converting flexible web-based materials, held from 11–13 March. At the event, the company showcased its AVT Apollo Turbo HD 100% print inspection system. It also presented its end-to-end color measurement and waste removal solutions.

ICE Europe marked AVT’s first event as an independent company. This followed its acquisition by Porat Itay Holdings.

“Our team demonstrated our print inspection capabilities both as an on-press process control platform, as well as a 100% finishing quality control solution,” added Guy.

“With its many process control features and abilities, the Turbo HD system significantly decreases job make-ready and production time. It also automates manual processes and provides valuable waste savings. We demonstrated all these capabilities, including 100 per cent varnish inspection, automation, and downstream workflows,” he said.

Automation Powered by Advanced Print Inspection Technology

In addition, AVT presented several automation solutions at the event. These included AutoSet, a system designed for complete inspection automation.

AutoSet automates print inspection for both analogue and digitally printed labels and packaging. It supports the full workflow, from prepress through on-press production to finishing.

As a result, it eliminates manual setup and reduces preparation time. It also improves inspection accuracy and overall efficiency.

Integrated Workflows with Advanced Print Inspection Technology

“We were delighted to share the space and work alongside our Esko colleagues at the ICE show and demonstrate the integration with the Esko Automation Engine,” said Guy.

“This integration means that data is automatically sent to the AVT inspection system, where even very short runs can be automatically inspected, resulting in exceptional print quality and process control. By simplifying complex workflows, AutoSet empowers operators of all experience levels to consistently achieve high-quality results. This not only minimizes training requirements but also maximizes the performance of operators at any skill level, enabling teams to deliver flawless production with confidence.

“With AutoSet, we are making inspection an integral part of the workflow rather than treating it as a separate, disjointed and additional production step,” said Guy.

Following the success of ICE Europe, AVT will be appearing at Labelexpo Mexico in April – with live demos alongside partners Vemax at booth #E91 and Brotech at booth #E311 – before exhibiting with its own booth at Labelexpo Europe and other events later in the year.
