Global print inspection leader, AVT, partners with Mark Andy to introduce two joint innovations at LOUPE Americas – a new closed-loop register control solution and BI-powered production intelligence within MA ProWorx

AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global leader in print inspection solutions, has announced a strategic technical and commercial alliance with press manufacturer Mark Andy, bringing together two of the label and packaging industry’s most established names in a partnership focused on accelerating automation, reducing waste, and lifting productivity for converters worldwide.

The alliance will be introduced to the market at LOUPE Americas, Chicago, Sep 15-17, where visitors will experience the first two joint innovations developed under the partnership’s combined R&D roadmap.

“This alliance brings together decades of expertise from two companies that have long shared a customer base and a common vision for what modern label and packaging production should look like,” said Guy Yogev, VP of Marketing & Product, AVT. “By aligning our roadmaps and combining Mark Andy’s press engineering with AVT’s inspection and data intelligence, we can deliver capabilities that neither company could develop alone and bring them to market faster.”

Guy said the joint R&D program has identified breakthrough opportunities to address two of the most persistent challenges facing today’s converters: startup waste and in-run process control. “Converters are under real pressure to do more with less: less waste, less operator intervention, less time between jobs,” he said. “Our alliance with Mark Andy is a direct response to that. Together, we are engineering solutions that automate more of the production process while giving converters the visibility and control they need to run smarter operations.”

Closed-loop register control debuts on Performance and HD Series presses

The first of the joint innovations is a new closed-loop register control solution, developed jointly by AVT and Mark Andy for the Mark Andy Performance Series and HD Series presses. The system delivers a step-change in startup waste reduction and in-run consistency, cutting startup waste dramatically and enabling ultra-fast register adjustments during the run without operator intervention.

Importantly, the solution also brings invisible varnish and coating layers into the register control envelope, addressing a long-standing quality challenge in premium label production. In hybrid workflows, it automatically registers both flexo and digital inks within a single press length.

At LOUPE Americas 2026, the solution will be demonstrated live on both the Mark Andy P9 and HD Series presses in a hybrid production configuration.

MA ProWorx powered by AVT press data

The second launch sees AVT press data feeding directly into the MA ProWorx platform through a new central business intelligence module. The integration gives converters a unified view of production performance across presses and sites, enabling multi-press and multi-site job comparison and turning inspection data into actionable production intelligence, the kind of visibility converters increasingly need to drive continuous improvement across their operations.

Benjamin Luly, Product Manager at Mark Andy, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering more integrated, automation-driven solutions for the converting industry.

“This partnership is all about combining strengths to solve real problems for our customers,” said Benjamin. ” We see AVT as our partner for automation. AVT’s inspection and data intelligence, integrated with Mark Andy press technology and the MA ProWorx platform, gives converters a level of automation and production visibility that would be difficult to achieve otherwise. The two launches at LOUPE Americas are the first tangible results of that collaboration, and there is more to come.”

“This is a partnership built for the long term,” added Guy. “The two solutions launching at LOUPE Americas are the start of a broader roadmap, and we are already working together on the next generation of joint innovations.”
