New demo center strengthens AVT support for EMEA region

Opening the doors of an independent, customer-first AVT to the EMEA market and beyond

The company has made a significant investment in a new EMEA-focused facility in Belgium. This site will act as a springboard for AVT’s ambitious growth plans across the region.

Advanced Printing Defect Detection Demo Center in Belgium

The facility is strategically located in Aalst, near Brussels, Belgium. It features a state-of-the-art demonstration center. Here, customers can test their own work on AVT solutions.

An AVT Helios 100% print inspection system is installed on a rewinder. It highlights the immediate identification of defects on printed labels and narrow web packaging.

At the same time, an AVT Argus system inspects flexible packaging. It demonstrates both 100% web inspection at high speeds and visual inspection of targeted areas at high optical resolution.

Dror Danai, who was recently appointed as AVT President for EMEA & APAC, said: “The opening of this new facility is a landmark moment and demonstrates the value customers place in our brand-new EMEA hub.”

“When we returned to being an independent, standalone business in spring 2025, we said we wanted to build on our more than 30 years at the forefront of inline and 100% inspection solutions, returning to our roots and being fully dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in print inspection technology,” he said. “Just a few short months later, we have opened the doors to our new EMEA facility, ensuring our customers can now see up close the speed, accuracy and performance of our range without having the expense, inconvenience and environmental impact of travelling half-way around the world to do so.”

Printing Defect Detection Demo Center Driving Customer Engagement

The AVT Aalst location officially opened in October. Since then, it has already welcomed many visitors and potential customers. These visitors use the site to conduct print inspection tests.

“The popularity of the new site with our customers is testament to our commitment to supporting label and packaging printers, delivering reliable solutions that they can trust to perform, day in and day out,” he said.

Strengthening Regional Support and Service

This commitment is further underlined by AVT’s investment in the people needed to provide dedicated support for printing defect detection solutions across markets throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; its efforts to ramp up response times to customer support and service requests in the region; and its ongoing work to substantially and sustainably strengthen its presence in numerous markets.

Dror Danai said:

“Our objective is to increase customer satisfaction. To ensure this, we are making sure we have the right people in the right place.

Since Labelexpo Europe 2025, for example, we have increased our engineer headcount by almost 50% and are adding more.

“We are working to reduce the time it takes to get an engineer on-site for most service calls to within 48 hours; it will not matter whether you are located in France or Italy, England or throughout Africa,” he said. “At the same time, our remote response times are now under an hour and all our calls are handled by a highly talented bilingual team that can support customers no matter where they are calling from, so that we can start reaching a resolution quickly.

“We are already seeing a strong and positive response from the market to this effort,” he said. “The volume of customer feedback has markedly increased and customer satisfaction is improving all the time.”

 AVT backs up its engineers with an inventory center located at Brussels airport, which is stocked with running inventory and allows for regularly required spare parts to quickly be dispatched to the customer’s site, often within 24 hours. This helps AVT engineers to implement fixes and resolve machinery challenges without delay.
